My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager, who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’ I was like of course!!!”

The early years
Die hard Swifties will already be aware that the Pennsylvania native always wanted to pursue music.
So what was she like as a kid? According to Business Insider, the “Style” singer has previously opened up about being unpopular at school, saying she didn’t have many female friends growing up.

Made for the stage

According to fan accounts, the “Anti-Hero” songstress did a number of photo shoots with family friend Andrew Orth before she became famous too. Orth would go on to shoot the photos for her debut album.
And in this throwback snap from 2005, Swift is pictured with Nick Brophy, who co-wrote the songs “Permanent Marker” and “Diary of Me”, according to fan account Taylor Swift Switzerland.
For another photo shoot, Swift reportedly teamed up with a photographer called Pushnik in 2007.
Pre-superstardom
Following the 2006 release of her hit “Tim McGraw” and self-titled debut album, Swift’s fame would only continue to grow. But this was just the beginning, as her next few albums Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010) and Red (2012) would truly propel her into the mainstream music stratosphere.
